DRAFT OF ZONING SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS
The Planning Commission meetings are held the Tuesday of the week of the second Thursday in the Courthouse Annex at 7:30 p.m. Contact the Zoning Administrator to be placed on the Agenda. The Agenda is available for public inspection during normal business hours in the Knox Co. Courthouse. The Planning Commission makes recommendations to the Knox County Supervisors regarding development proposals, zoning changes, livestock usage permits, conditional use permits, subdivision plats, etc. The Board of Supervisors may or may not follow the Planning Commission’s recommendations. Members of the Planning Commission are appointed by the Knox County Supervisors.
The Board of Adjustments meets as needed. The Board of Adjustments hears requests for variances, considers appeals from citizens regarding interpretation of zoning regulations by the Zoning Administrator, and makes map interpretations. Members of the Board of Adjustments are appointed by the Knox County Supervisors.
