Open Meetings Act (effective 7/21/2022)
PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the Knox County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 14th at 7:30 p.m. in the Board of Supervisor’s Room at the Knox County Courthouse, 206 Main, Center, NE. The meeting is open to the public. All interested parties are welcome to attend.
The intent of the public hearing is to receive public comments regarding corrections to be made to Knox County Zoning Resolution Section 8.04 Recreational Vehicle Parks to agree with Resolution #2021-45.
A public hearing will also be held to receive public comments regarding proposed amendments to 8.08.06, Commercial/Utility Grade Wind Energy Systems including setbacks to property lines, setbacks to dwelling units owned by non-participating landowners, setbacks to wetlands, USFW Types III, IV and V, setbacks to Meteorological Towers, shadow flicker, ADLS, Discontinuation and Decommissioning plan including cost and restoration, noise, clustering, site insurance and height.
There will also be public hearing regarding a request to change Commercial/Utility Grade Wind Energy Systems from zoning districts AGT and AGP to industrial.
A copy of the resolution regarding RV parks or the proposed amendment can be found by contacting the Zoning Administrator or a resolution can be found by contacting the Zoning Administrator.

That a regular meeting of the Knox County Board of Supervisors will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, in the Board of Supervisors’ meeting room at the Knox County Courthouse in Center, Nebraska, which meeting will be open to the public. An agenda for the meeting is kept continuously current and is available for public inspection at the office of the County Clerk; however, the Board upon convening shall have the right to modify the agenda. The agenda is also available for viewing on the Knox County website at www.co.knox.ne.us.

That a regular meeting of the Knox County Board of Equalization will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, in the Board of Supervisors’ meeting room at the Knox County Courthouse in Center, Nebraska, which meeting will be open to the public. An agenda for the meeting is kept continuously current and is available for public inspection at the office of the County Clerk; however, the Board upon convening shall have the right to modify the agenda. Real estate and personal property taxes are due December 31. The first half of the tax becomes delinquent on the following May 1 and the second half becomes delinquent on September 1.
